The community charity store "Mehr-Wert" (more value) collects second-hand goods of all kinds, cleans and repairs them and offers them for sale at bargain prices. The goods on offer range from furniture and household goods to clothing and books. Holders of the Oldenburg Pass or an ARGE certificate receive additional discounts.

The Mehr-Wert qualification organisation is a project for helping unemployed young people and adults to obtain professional qualifications. This project is organised by the ARGE Oldenburg and run by the organisation Arbeit und Bildung e.V. in cooperation with the Waste Disposal Department of the City of Oldenburg.
